About Sarah Walter, writer, creative director & naming nut.

I’m a seasoned, strategic advertising copywriter and creative director with over 30 years of copywriting, naming and branding experience.

 

Following an award-winning career as a senior writer at DDB, JWT and  The Pond, I founded The Namery as New Zealand’s specialist naming and copywriting agency.

 

My sweet spot is bringing brands to life through words – be it a one-word name, one-page brand story, or a one thousand word website. Over the years, I’ve helped create some iconic New Zealand brands – and written countless words for more brands than I can name.

I’m a storyteller at heart, with a deep and relentless passion for creating compelling names and words, and finding a brand’s unique and engaging tone of voice. I’d love to help you find yours too!
